The riding was nice up by hwy 8 on Saturday (Goodman to Florence). Starting with Wabeno going north there was a noticeable increase in snow on the ground. There was lot of traffic going from Townsend to Pickerel Lake on Sunday. Forest County trails need better signage at the junctions about where to go to get to close by towns. Some of the corners on those trails were already wearing down. The Red Arrow trails around Townsend were pretty nice because they got out early Sunday morning and groomed them. Unless we get a big storm this past weekend might be the last of it, with maybe one more weekend up by hwy 8. I hear the fresh snow from Saturday night is already melting off.

Hey Ray thought I would give you my weekend round up. Its because of your updates I even came up at all this weekend so Thank you very much for keeping us updated with the “Real story”. We got up to Wausaukee at 10pm on Friday and decided to take a ride to see the trail conditions. We rode to Lake Noquebay on near perfect trails. The FSR (Forest Service Road) right out of the Bear Point is a HOOT. We went south of the lake and it got ugly so we headed back to base. Saturday, we made the call to trailer to Dunbar and ride North. I just unloaded there, I will not spend money in that area as long as ATV’s are allowed on the trails. We rode trail 5 to trail 2 to Florence and it was Fantastic. We rode trail 6 to the White Tail and had lunch and then rode trail 15 into the U.P. and rode Iron River and through the town of Caspain. We came down trail 7 back to trail 6 and then to Dunbar. That was 250 miles of near perfect riding. The next morning was a Gift from the Heavens. 2.5 inches of heavy snow made the trails in the Wausaukee/Crivits area PERFECT. We rode a loop from Wausaukee to The Sportsman for breakfast up past Athelstane back to home base. The trail from Athelstane to Wausaukee was the BEST it has ever been EVER. We ended up with 420 miles of some of the best riding we have done. Thanks again
