Monday February 1st, 2021

Greetings and welcome,

12am Monday morning.

The snow Saturday night and Sunday added up to between 2 and 2-1/2 inches as measured in my driveway. I will travel farther later today and get a look around.

When I checked just now most local clubs had not updated since the snow. Red Arrow in Townsend did and said that they didn’t think that it was quite enough to open trails, but they would be out panning it down into base.

There is more light snow possible Thursday, along with a big ugly blast of Arctic air.

The big news of the day is when the storm passed us and headed to the east coast in a much stronger form. Some of the more excited forecasters are predicting 18-24″ for New York City.

While I was looking at my models tonight the 10 day snowfall for far eastern PA caught my eye. The next three storms could add up to 37″ in 10 days. Yowza.

Hopefully a few more small snows will get the trails open.

Have a good week and thank you for visiting!
