Greetings and welcome!
That was quite a weekend! A lot of snowmobilers took to the trails and were rewarded with flat trails and reasonable weather. Everywhere that I saw the trails were nice. That foot of snow last week really paid off.
I got to see a lot of old friends and made some new ones too. It was a lot of fun at Rapids Saturday, maybe too much. I have a lot of pictures to share but they will have to wait. My card reader seems to have the Monday morning blues and won’t work. I am going to see if I can get one at the Dollar Store on the way home from work tonight.
If you liked last weekend’s trails get ready to saddle up again next weekend, they aren’t going anywhere. We are looking at a cold week ahead with highs in the single digits and lows below zero. It isn’t expected to be quite as brutal as a week ago, but it will be cold enough to preserve what we have now in great shape. There are only a couple of chances for light snow, so that won’t change much either.
My waking thought this morning was that considering that we haven’t had ANY big southern storms this year we are really doing good for conditions. It is pretty unusual that we haven’t seen the panhandle hook storms that bring heavy snow at all this winter. That is ok, thanks to last week’s super clipper we are doing good in all directions.
The events that I know about for next weekend are the Paul Bunyan Riders (Lakewood) Snow Fun Weekend, and the Caldron Falls Radar Run. There are probably more events to add to the list and I will work on tracking those down this week.
Thank you very much to everyone that came to Rapids and made it so much fun this weekend. They saw a lot of riders visit and they appreciate that a lot. I also had a great time. Thank you to everyone!
Well it is time for me to go and grab Monday by the handle. Have a good week and thank you for visiting!
