Greetings and welcome!
It is +5 this morning, and we have a fresh dusting of snow.
The snow overnight was more impressive on radar than it was on the ground, but there is still a chance of a little more today. It isn’t much of a storm so we will be lucky to see an inch. The clipper for Thursday holds a lot more promise. That one could bring 1-3 or 2-4.
We are seeing a pattern shift showing up on the GFS model. Instead of the brutal arctic blast we will be in a more zonal or west to east flow. This will bring a lot warmer temperatures, and eventually a shot at some bigger southern storms.
Right now I am pretty nervous about next week. The GFS is showing 32+ temperatures most of the week and a shot at a little rain Tuesday and Thursday. It is expected to cool down a little late week.
For now the trails are in great shape. Yesterday I saw trails in Silver Cliff, Wausaukee, and on the north side of High Falls and they were just about perfect.
