Greetings and welcome!

Big sigh of relief. This site has been transferred to the new server and is working smoothly and lightning fast. I had a lot of help from the migration experts at A2Hosting.com. The other two servers will expire in about a week and I will be officially out of the web site hosting business. I won’t mind saving that grand a year plus in server costs.

Anyway- we are not getting 9″ of snow tonight. 1-3 isn’t out of the question, but 9″ no. That was kind of a fluke in the Euro model and it came back to its senses on the following run.

It is 56ºF at noon and it could get a couple of degrees warmer before sunset. We have a very strong cold front coming our way that is expected to bring rain and snow tonight as well as a drop in temperatures to-get this- a low of around 10 degrees. Anytime you get that big of a temperature swing there is going to be some action. In this case, rain, snow, ice, and wind.

Tomorrow we are looking at a high of 21, but by Friday we are back into the mid and upper 50s. The warm stretch for the weekend will be particularly bad for frozen stuff as the low temperatures are expected to stay in the 40s.

While we potentially have 2-6 more weeks of possible season I don’t see it turning around anytime soon.

I just saw on the news that Green Bay is up to 67 degrees.

I’d rather be snowmobiling but if we are headed toward 60+ I have a different plan. I have a 2# prime ribeye that I am going to put on the smoker for an hour or two with apple and hickory smoke, and once it is up to about 100º internal, transfer over to the 750 degree egg grill for a nice flame searing. That should set me up very nicely for hibernation tomorrow.

If I am talking about grilling out it is obviously time to go. With the wild weather this year I am sure that I will have more to report in the coming days. I just wish that it had to do with trail conditions.

Have a good one and thank you for visiting!
