3-12-2026 Watches and Warnings Oh My!

4:30pm

Greetings and welcome!

We are under both a winter storm warning and a winter storm watch.

Even though I am looking at a mostly clear blue skies the weather guessers think that we could get 5-9” of snow tonight. Everything that I have agrees. That is our winter storm warning.

The winter storm watch is for the Sunday storm. They are still looking for 12-16” of snow, along with high winds. Some of the forecasts are on the silly side with 24”+ or whatever.

The forecast models are still showing a lot of snow. Here is the latest from the European. This is the cumulative total between the two storms.

While I prefer to be the instigator rather than the voice of reason, today I have to adult briefly. The forecasts seem a touch overstimulated.

My call- 4-8 tonight and about the same for the Sunday storm…. if it doesn’t blow out and miss us by 300 miles.

My primary concern right now is if we get heavy snow plus the 40-50mph winds there could be a lot of tree damage and some power outages. With crazy conditions it could add up to a rough go for the power line crews.

All that I know for sure is that I don’t know.

I will keep you up to date.

Thank you guys for the beer money! It is great to be appreciated. Thank you.

Until it snows…
