Greetings and welcome!

Our 3-5 or 4-6 snowstorm came in at almost an inch. Most of the precip went south. One friend in Green Bay had 6-1/2″.
We have another clipper coming for tomorrow. This one is expected to bring light snow or maybe 1/2″ but it has some brutal cold behind it. Our normal high temp is around 30. Saturday’s predicted hi temp is near 7 and Sunday’s near 16.

Here is the fun part..

Next week we will have above normal temperatures and a chance of rain.

The way I see it this is all unfolding in our favor. Minimal snow from the storm followed by brutal cold will help continue to freeze the lakes and the ground. The rain next week is not expected to be catastrophic, and should help to add moisture to create a sturdy base.

After that the long term forecasts show us getting out of the arctic blast and back into a more zonal flow. Hopefully that opens the door for some southern storms.

Hats off to the Paul Bunyan Riders and the AWSC on how fast they got my club membership and $10 trail passes processed. They are volunteers but were really fast about getting it done. Thank you!!

In related news.. There is a movement to raise fees on registrations and trail passes. Last year the state had 4 million dollars more in proposed projects than in funding. I’m all for getting the clubs more money, the price of everything has gone up. As long as they don’t get carried away and price the little man out of the sport I’m all for it.

That’s it for today. Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting!
