Greetings and welcome!
It has stayed cold enough this week that we didn’t loose any snow. We had a couple of dustings but no meaningful snow. We could get a little more Friday but again it will be under 1/2″.
Our giant ice base continues to save the day and most of the trails remain good.
There are Fishorees in Townsend and Chute Pond this weekend. The outhouse races at Firelane Bar are Saturday. That has turned into a huge event that benefits local fire/rescue/ambulance services with some pretty generous checks. Check the event poster page for details.
Next week we are looking at some slightly warmer temperatures, possibly getting into the mid-30s. At the moment it does not look like anything catastrophic. There are a few chances for light snow, but no major storms are in the forecast.
It will likely be a busy weekend with decent trails, reasonable weather, and some events. Get it while you can.
