Greetings and welcome,
Today is another one of those days that I don’t like what I have to say.
Monday we got above 32. There was no tragic melting but you could start to see the staining of the trails. Yesterday we got up to 36 with some sun. Today isn’t quite as bad with an expected high of 28. Tomorrow we are looking at 34 and sunny.
This is where the bad stuff starts. Starting with Friday we have about a week of mid-40s and possible 50s for high temperatures.
This is one of the busiest weekends of the season.. No one wants to close trails but I would not be surprised if it happens. Heavy traffic and a 45ºF and sunny Friday, Saturday, and Sunday would not be good.
I don’t even want to talk about the long term forecast until it gets better.
So the yellow caution light is on for the weekend. Stay up to date with the areas that you ride for trail closures.
