Greetings and welcome!
We saw between 1-2″ of snow starting about sunrise this morning. As of mid-afternoon the snow has stopped but the wind has kicked up in a big way. It is blowing the snow out of the trees and off of roofs making the whole thing a lot more winter-like. It feels a lot colder that our current 25 degrees too.
I did miss one event this weekend.. An ATV/UTV ride with Team Winnebagoland staying at Popp’s and Twin Bridge Resorts. It looks like the ride started today and they went up toward Goodman/Dunbar where their 50/50 raffles raised almost $700 for the Dun-Good Club. I don’t know how many riders that they have, but there were probably 20+ buggies at Jungle Jim’s when I went by a few minutes ago. Here is a link to their event.
The trail base is solid ice with some snow packed on top so the trails should handle it well, but keep an eye out for them in corners and on hills.
One last thought… It looks like a busy weekend ahead with a lot of events. Watch for other riders, especially in corners and on hills, and keep an eye out for the DNR. They are usually patrolling on busy weekends like this one.
Have a good weekend! Stay warm, be safe, and thank you for visiting!
