Greetings and welcome!

We have a little light snow moving in this morning. We are expecting an inch today and another one tonight.

The wind will be a factor over the next couple of days. Not only will it blow the snow around a little, it will bring some cold wind chills. We could see chills as low as -30 this morning, -15 today and tonight, and -25 tomorrow.

It will be a cold weekend, but by all accounts the trails are fantastic. They haven’t seen much traffic this week, and they are groomed nice and flat. I will also point out that at our cold temperatures they will be a lot less prone to making whoopties and stutter bumps than they would be in the twenties and thirties.

I was already seeing folks hauling trailers north yesterday. Apparently some people are getting ready to take advantage of today’s warmest day of the week and a jump on the nice trails. It makes sense to me, we could see upper teens or low twenties today instead of the single digit highs for the weekend.

The fellow on the Morning Ag report was talking about next week’s push of cold air, saying that it was coming right out of Siberia. Oh hooray.. The good news was that he thought that the bitter cold might recede after next week. That would be great, I’ve had enough. I am ready for some 20s.

Events for this weekend are the Snow Fun Weekend in Lakewood with the Paul Bunyan Riders club and the Caldron Falls Radar Run & Fish-o-Ree. I have not seen any events beyond that, though there may be some.

Well the rooster is crowing so it is time to get ready for work. Have a great weekend and thank you for visiting!
