Greetings and welcome!

The snow yesterday was a good one for us. I’d call it a solid 4-5″, and even though it is puffy, there is a lot of snow. The groomers will be out tonight packing it down and our zero-ish temperatures will help to make it firm. We will be in for some really good trail conditions this weekend.

The temperatures will be a little below normal. For Friday they are expecting highs in the 10-15 range and -5 to -10 Friday night.  The NWS is calling for mid-teens Saturday and Sunday, and zero to -5 Saturday night. Our normal temps are 27 & 3.

We have some events this weekend. Here is the current list-

Ice Bowling at Parkway Inn
Twin Bridge Area – Food & Refreshments, Music

Annual Ice Skating Party and Christmas Tree Burning
6:00pm – 9:00pm. at the Crivitz Fire Station. Sponsored by the Crivitz Rescue Squad & the Crivitz Fire Dept.
Hot chocolate and other goodies will be provided along with a toasty bonfire expertly tended to by the Fire Department personnel.

57th Mountain Fire Department Fish-O-Rama
On Chute Pond starting at 8:00 am. Fish contest, boat load of prizes, raffles and spin wheel. Drawings start at 10:00 AM Heated building with food & refreshments. FIREWORKS at dusk!

NEW Low Buck Vintage Rider’s Dunbar-Goodman Brat Fry Ride

Meet at the Dun-Good Riders Club Building, W11568 Hwy 8 in Dunbar at 11 AM. Trail ride to Rocque’s 8-HI Club in Goodman where we’ll have some brats & beverages, participate in some raffles and family fun events to show our support for the club’s fine trail system. Riders may choose to return to Dunbar via the same trails or opt for the longer “northern trail” (about 20 miles). There are some spots along the way that are perfect for testing your sled’s performance! All are welcome to ride along, new sleds, old sleds; new riders, old riders. Because the Dun-Good trails are open to winter atv/utv use, those riders are welcome too. Do not need to be a member of the NEWLBVR or Dun-Good Riders to participate.

It should be a great weekend. Both my Sunday and Wednesday rides found excellent trails, the weather looks reasonable, and we have some good events too. Hopefully a lot of riders take to the trails and get some miles in while it is so nice.

Have a great weekend and thank you for visiting!
