Greetings and welcome!
Yesterday’s snow added up to about 3-4″ once it settled. It is certainly welcome. The trails held up pretty well but were getting some thin spots after the weekend.
We have a warm week ahead with high temps in the mid and upper 30s. Tonight into tomorrow we have a chance of freezing rain followed by some rain and snow. It is a minor storm that is expected to mostly go south of us, so don’t expect a lot of anything out of it, though it may ice the roads up a little.
On yesterday’s Euro model there were two storms for the weekend that were looking really promising. The Euro had the low pressure centers tracking perfectly for us to get a lot of snow, and a 1-2 punch. This morning’s run now has the storms going about 150 miles farther south than we would like to see. We still have 4 days for it to bounce back so I’m not too worried about it.
I am going to Rapids Resort later today to look into going there on a couple of Saturday afternoons to meet people and get their pictures for the web page. They have been my ‘Home bar’ for over 30 years so I’m all for it. The challenge is that my legs are too shot to bartend (Had major surgery two summers ago-better but not good), so it might just be a meet n greet for a photo. I’ll keep you up to date.
I don’t know how the story ends with this week’s warm weather. Hopefully it does the thaw freeze thing and makes us a nice ice base, followed by heavy snow next weekend.
Have a good Monday and thank you for visiting!
