Greetings and welcome!
It started snowing lightly about 11pm last night. It has been pretty steady through the night and morning. As a result we are closing in on the 3″ mark out on my deck.
I haven’t been out in the real world yet so I don’t know how roads fared.
They were predicting freezing drizzle yesterday afternoon. I saw something that I don’t recall seeing before- they actually pre-salted the roads between here and Lakewood, and on 32 up to Townsend as well. The freezing drizzle never came, but that pre-treatment should really help with the snow clean-up. At 30 degrees any salt that they use is going to be very effective. I would expect county roads to be pretty good but unsalted side roads are likely a little slippery.
The radar shows more snow on the way, though it is light. The forecast is for 1-3 today.
I have a friend in Pembine that posed a picture of her deck on FaceBook this morning. It looked about the same. I am not sure what happened north of there, but it looks pretty consistent from here to there.
The snow is pretty light and puffy, probably not enough for the first gravel ride-yet.
When I went to Townsend yesterday the Townsend Flowage and Waubee Lake had full ice, though I don’t know how thick it is.
I will follow up with final snow totals later today or tomorrow.
