Greetings and welcome!
One of my favorite lines from a movie and it was from the movie Twister. It goes something like, It isn’t coming, it’s already here.
The reason that I bring this up is that it feels a lot like winter around here right now. When I went to get supplies Wednesday the Townsend Flowage was frozen all of the way across. Waubee Lake was at about 2/3. The next two nights were 10 and 7 degrees for lows, so no doubt there has been more progress.
On Thanksgiving we had enough snow to grease up the roads and make the ground white but with grass showing though. That stuck around. Today we got about 2″. They actually plowed the roads and the snowblower got its first run of the year. It wasn’t a lot but it was worth doing.
There is a little more snow possible Monday from another clipper type storm, and a chance of bigger storms about 12-5 and 12-10.
It isn’t enough to ride on yet but the roads got icy enough that maybe a skitch around the block might be possible without leaving too much steel on the road.
Whatever the case, our warm fall has yielded to winter. Things are freezing up nicely and we even have a couple of inches of snow down. It isn’t time yet but it is sure heading that way.
Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting!

Don’t forget about the Low Buck Vintage Riders 18th annual antique snowmobile show and swap this Saturday December 4th. It is at the Dunbar Sportsman’s Club on Airport Rd in Dunbar.
Here is another event that one of our friends shared.
