I don’t have a lot to add to my Thursday report today. The trails all look to be in great shape. About the biggest thing is that we got down to -18 Thursday night.
The weather today and tomorrow look nice. Today we could see a little light snow and a high of 31. The NWS says that we will go down to 11 tonight and up to 23 tomorrow.
Monday afternoon and Monday night could bring some snow, it looks like about 4-5″ if it all goes well.
Events today include the Wheeler Lake Ice Fishing Jamboree, the Crooked Lake Fish-O-Rama, and the big Red Arrow Townsend Family Fish-A-Ree. I also saw something about a meat Raffle at Steve-O’s to benefit the Twin Bridge Ski Team. As always I will be at Rapids from 12-4 today. Stop in and get your picture taken for the web site!
Wheeler Lake Ice Fishing Jamboree
Date: Feb. 15, 2020
Fishing registration will start at 8AM and all must be registered by 11AM. The fish will need to be measured by 3PM. Fishing registration and measuring of the fish will take place by the boat landing. The other portion of the event will be at McCauslin Brook Golf Course. Live music from 11AM-7PM.
