I went out and measured a solid 4″ in the driveway. It is snowing lightly. The snow was fairly puffy so it settled as more fell onto it. There is some substance there. This will help the trails. Hopefully the light snow keeps coming so that they can pack it into a decent base.
12:02am Friday night/Saturday morning
I went out at midnight to measure snow. I have 2-3″ out in the driveway. The radar shows it going on for at least another hour. That will perk up the trails in a big way. There is a minimal base so you still get to experience the rocks and bumps and terrain features of early season riding, but an extra 3-4″ of snow will help a lot.
