Greetings and welcome!
Golly! It actually snowed!
Here is the scene outside of my front door this morning.
We had a storm get a little carried away last night and we woke up to 4-6″ of snow. Recent cold weather has the ground freezing again so the snow will actually stick around for a few days. We weren’t expecting much out of this storm but it got stronger as it got closer. I have about 4″ plus near Caldron Falls Flowage and a friend up in Pembine reported almost 6″.
The forecast for today is a high of 29 with 15-30 mph winds. Friday and Saturday we are only looking at a high of 25. again with some wind. The bottom drops out Sunday and Monday when we go back into the mid-30s, and then toward the middle of the week with mid-40s.
This is like getting one bite of a delicious steak and going away hungry.
There isn’t much to get excited about on the 16 day GFS forecast model. There is a storm about two weeks out that might get somewhere, but at two weeks out it is just a nice cartoon.
Don’t forget that we have a lot of good events this weekend. See my last update for posters.
Have a good one and thank you for visiting!
