Just in at 1pm- Iron Snowshoe has closed trails south of Hwy C. Trails north of C remain open.
Oconto Co trails south of Gillett have closed as of the 23rd. I just got notice that all of Oconto Co snowmobile trails will close tomorrow (Friday 2-26) at 8am. Any chance for a last chance ride in Oconto County is today only.

Greetings and welcome!
We got about 2″ of now Tuesday night. When I went out Wednesday at noon to check how much was on the (sun sheltered) north side of the house the car was bare and the driveway had about an inch left. It was disappointing to say the least.
At sunset I went up to Jungle Jims for some carry out. The trails on the way had about an inch of new stuff, and it didn’t take long to have it worn through to the original snirty base. You can still ride if you look past the damage in sunny and high wear spots, but we definitely have some late season conditions. Treated roads are mostly bare. Sunny and high wear areas have an inch of snow. Sheltered areas still look good.
We got up to 40 yesterday and there was some sun.
I was making breakfast this morning and was shocked to look out on the deck. The rails were completely bare and the table had half of the snow on it that it had a few days ago. It was a rough week for snow.
We got down to 13 last night so all of the melting and slushy stuff has hardened up. I would expect some icy base as a result.
At 10am we are up to 33 heading for a high of 41.
Oconto Co trails south of Gillett have closed as of the 23rd. I just got notice that all of Oconto Co snowmobile trails will close tomorrow (Friday) at 8am. Any chance for a last chance ride in Oconto County is today only. I have not seen anything like that yet for Marinette County.
Looking ahead there are a lot of 30s and 40s in the forecast and no big snow for at least two weeks. The end of the season is near.
Have a good Thursday and thank you for visiting!
