Greetings and welcome!

The next clipper is here and is clearly a little milder than the last one. We have an inch of new snow from overnight and there is another one possible today.  The storm is pretty disorganized as far as the precip goes, so it is hard to say how much more is coming by looking at the radar.

I saw them firing up the Iron Snowshoe groomer last night on the way home from work, and I read the Red Arrow has been out packing down the new snow too. I’d put the snow total for the week at 9″ between the two storms, and an inch today should make it 10. Yee ha!

There are some events this weekend.

It is Free Fishing Weekend in WI this weekend. You don’t need a fishing license as the DNR encourages people to get out there and fish. There are also fishorees in Crandon and on White Potato Lake.

The Women on Snow crew will be at Waubee Lodge in Lakewood this weekend.

There are radar runs on High Falls Flowage at Boat Landing #3 this Saturday.

The Low Buck Vintage Riders Will be in Laona Saturday on their Old Iron Ride. They will show ’em at T Bobs from 10-11, and at 11 they pull the ropes for a ride to Johnnie’s Resort on Wabicon Lake and back.

The Red Arrow Club in Townsend is also having a vintage ride. That one involves a ride to a spot in the forest east of the Valley Inn, where there will be a big bonfire on the trail to the ski hill.

I will be at Rapids Resort Saturday bartending and taking riders pictures, but not until about 3pm. I have to work at my day job this Saturday.

The weekend looks good for weather. The high temps Friday and Saturday should be almost 20 and Sunday the NWS says 27. Overnight lows are posted at -1 Friday night and +7 Saturday night. Not bad..

Well I have to hustle off to work. Have a good Thursday and thank you for visiting!
