Greetings and welcome!
We did ok yesterday. We had a high of 25 and there was no obvious melting.
Last night’s storm came a lot later here on the ground than it did on radar. It started out as quarter sized flakes and then turned to a freezing rain, and switched back and forth. When I looked out of the front door this morning I found about an inch of sturdy snow with ice above and below it.
It did not harm our cause, and will add a layer to the trails and plowed roads. With a high of 37 today it probably will not survive the day, at least on the roads.
We did ok in this storm compared to areas to the south. When I was at the gas station last night I saw a car traveling from the south that was completely glazed with about 1/4″ of ice. That had to be a hairy ride.South of 64 there is likely a lot more ice.
The rest of the week is a big question mark. I still see a lot of 40ish days ahead right through next Monday. If it stays on the low side we might do ok, but there is a lot of 32+ weather ahead. All that we can do is hope for the best.
I am expecting a wild ride on the way to work this morning so I am going to run along and get a head start. Have a good Tuesday and thank you for visiting!
