Greetings and welcome!
My travels took me to Crivitz today. The trails between Silver Cliff and Crivitz all looked really nice. I see that some were even freshly groomed today. The side roads have improved their base a little as well. Reports from Oconto Co riders also found good conditions. The green flag is definitely out. I would not hesitate to ride at all.
I see that Forest Co opened trails as of noon today.
We are expecting another 2-4″ tonight. There are a couple of small disturbances coming for around New Years but those look pretty minimal.
The New Year’s Day storm is looking like a bust for us. We would like to see the low pressure area track somewhere between Chicago and Green Bay for the best snow in northeast Wisconsin. The latest GFS run has it tracking along the Tennessee/IL & IN border. Unless we get surprised in a big way that storm will be one for our friends in northern IL & IN.
Missing that storm is not any big deal for us. We have enough snow that the trails are nice, we have 2-4 on the way tonight, and there are no big thaws on the horizon in the short term.
Time to ride!
Have a good Tuesday and thank you for visiting!
