Greetings and welcome!

It wasn’t a very nice day out today. The snow off of Lake Superior came and probably brought an inch or two over the course of the day. It was hard to quantify with the howling wind driving it sideways and blowing it around.

There were some decent sized drifts by the end of the day for having that little snow. They filled ditches and maybe got a foot or two high. That drifting is a double edged sword, it will fill in some trail spots and scrub others.

Right now the snow has moved off to the east and we have +2 degrees and a wind chill between -8 and -15 depending on the wind at that moment.

The wind and cold will continue though the week with similar numbers. The outlook for Saturday is for a low of -5 and a high of about 10 degrees. That isn’t quite as friendly as last weekend’s upper 20s and low 30s.

Next week looks only a little milder, but there are three chances for snow as clipper systems come our way. It looks like winter will be here at least two more weeks.

I will be back tomorrow with the latest. Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!
