Greetings and welcome!
This storm has been kind of a bust for precipitation. Last night the radar showed a big area of snow moving over us. I look out of the window and nothing. This morning there was a very light dusting on the ground. The same thing happened this afternoon. The radar says snow, the ground truth says nothing is making it to the ground.
Later in the afternoon we did get a little rain. Between that and the small passing light rain or drizzle there is about 1/8″ of chunky ice frozen onto everything. It has been right at 32F all day and night so driving side roads might get a little hairy. Salt is very effective at 32 so treated state and county highways should fare better.
The front of the storm has been a bit of a bust for us. The back of the storm is a lot less organized for precip, but right now it holds our best hope of a little snow. The forecast is for rain/snow/freezing rain changing to snow with potential for 1-3.
Hopefully we get enough snow to get trails open again.
Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!
