We have some events coming up this weekend.
The big deal locally is the outhouse races at Firelane. It is a big draw event and a lot of people have a lot of fun pushing little boxes down the field. They raise money on upcharged beer prices, and they donate a LOT of money to the local fire and rescue organizations.
I also saw that it the weekend of the Brat Fry up at High-8 with the Dun-Good club.
A little to our west the fun continues..
The following Saturday 2-8-25 is the big High Falls Fish-O-Rama, radar runs, and winterfest. This year there will be plenty of ice on the lake. Snow on the trails is more iffy.
The latest forecast has a clipper system coming in for Saturday night/Sunday with 1-3 or 2-4.
The GFS and Euro forecast models are again playing with the idea of a southern storm sometime between the 7th and 9th of Feb with 6+ inches. At 10 days out it is still pretty speculative, and it might not even be there in tomorrow’s run. It sure would be nice to finally not see grass in the yard.
