It looks like the storm is mostly over. There is a white layer on the grass but you can still see grass showing through it. While it was snowing and blowing it was pretty wild. The wind was/is crazy strong, easily 40+ mph.
The Saturday storm isn’t looking great. The NAM and Euro now have it going too far south, the GFS has it hitting us with light snow. I’m not any more invested in this guidance than I was yesterday when it looked good. There is still time for it to change again.
So this storm was pretty much a bust. There is a LOT of cold air behind it and that will serve us later on with frost in the ground and ice on the lakes.
