Greetings and welcome!

Today looks like the first day in a long stretch of 30+ degree days.

Looking at the 16 day GFS forecast model I want to hit reload and give it another try. The week looks like a warm one, but the weekend looks warmer. We will be close to 40 Friday and Saturday and in the mid-30s for Sunday. Next week looks like it will mostly be in the mid-30s too.

It isn’t catastrophic melting, but it isn’t the snow that we want, or the cold that freezes the lakes and the ground.

This afternoon it is cloudy and 33 with some light snow. The snow has not accumulated at all. The 3-4″ of snow already on the ground is getting packy and where it is packed down, a little icy. Too bad that there isn’t a foot of the stuff to make a nice firm trail base.

Winter isn’t over yet, I fully expect the pendulum to swing back the other way.

For now we wait.

Have a good week and thank you for visiting!
