Greetings and welcome!

This isn’t good. I am looking outside at a 45 and sunny day. To make things worse the chances of snow tonight are reduced to a chance of flurries.

I was supposed to ride this afternoon and I am reconsidering that. There is probably a lot of bare road between me and the trail. I will make that call later.

The weather ahead is better, but not much. We are looking at 36-41 tomorrow, and then mid 30s Friday, followed by low 30s and partly to mostly sunny for the weekend. The GFS is telling me that it could (light) snow Friday night and Saturday, the NWS isn’t seeing it that way.

Ever wonder what the difference is between partly sunny and partly cloudy is? Day and night. Either designation indicates 3/8 to 5/8 cloud cover. Partly cloudy can be used in either case, but it probably won’t be partly sunny at night.

I have a nagging feeling that I am missing an event up in Forest Co, but I am stumped at the moment.

The sports show is a little out of the area, but it is being put on by a Silver Cliff based promoter, and our friends from Kosir’s will be there.

From the Don’t Try This At Home department.. I stumbled into a pretty cool YouTube video last night. As I titled it on FaceBook, Late season conditions indeed..

The fact that they have a helicopter flying along filming them suggests to me that this isn’t just Stosh & Ollie out for a Sunday ride. While you won’t see me trying this (voluntarily), it is pretty cool stuff to watch.

A couple of us did something like this years ago across Crooked Lake when our insane leader took us out there at night and we found about a foot of water on top of the ice. It wasn’t like you could do a Y turn, and all that I saw was water, so it was go man go.. Talk about eyes like pie pans and non-family rated words inside the helmet.. We did make it, but we took the other way back.

That’s news for today. Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!
