Greetings and welcome!

I am really liking what I am seeing in the long term weather forecast.  Generally it is a northwest flow with small storms every few days, and pretty moderate temperatures without any wild swings either way.

While I’d add a foot or two of snow in there if I could, it isn’t bad for January of what is almost an El Nino year. The threshold for El Nino conditions are temperature anomalies of at least 0.5ºC. From the January 12 ENSO Update..

The latest weekly SST
departures are:
Niño 4 0.7ºC
Niño 3.4 0.4ºC
Niño 3 0.4ºC
Niño 1+2 -0.2ºC
So far s good..
It is nice to see the cold blast go away. It is warmer now at 9:45pm (18F) than it probably was all of last week. I am also happy that the pendulum isn’t swinging too far the other way. About the warmest temperatures expected in the short term are some low 30’s Thursday and Saturday. Friday’s high is expected to be around 20m and Sunday’s 25.
So, what I am seeing ahead is some really comfortable riding temperatures, even at night. I’m expecting a busy weekend this weekend between good trails and nice temperatures.
Saturday’s precip is leaning toward light snow starting in the morning. it will be a close call in the afternoon, but it looks pretty light whatever it is, so I am not too concerned. A little light snow would add a nice twist to the day, so hopefully it works out.
That is it for now. Have a good night and thank you for visiting!
