Greetings and welcome!
The world is coming at me in four wheel drive right now so I don’t have time for much of an update today. I do want to let you know about the vintage snowmobile show this coming weekend.
The NEW Low Buck Vintage Riders antique snowmobile show has been this weekend for many years. They used to have it at Gateway Bar in Crivitz, and more recently at the Middle Inlet Fire Dept. This year it is in Dunbar.

There is a little frost in the ground from our cold nights, but not a lot. Likewise the lakes are just getting started freezing up. There is NO snow on the ground right now. Looking at the GFS forecast model there is zero hope of the trails opening on 12-15.
While not ideal, it is better than last year when the heavy snow just wrecked the trails with fallen trees just before they were about to open. I prefer having some frost in the ground and a lid on the lakes before the snow comes, so I suppose I am ok with it not snowing big just yet.
One passing thought, we had a very wet year. A lot of lowlands will again cause problems. Don’t be surprised when that swamp has an extra foot or more of water this year.
I really need to run and get to work. I will have to come back to this at some point. I mostly wanted to let you know about the vintage show this weekend.
Be back soon,
