Greetings and welcome!
After our 1ºF overnight low the Peshtigo River had a lot of ice floating down it. I wanted to see how the local lakes were progressing so I stopped by Landing 11 about 2pm. It is frozen most of the way over except in the middle where the river current is strong. I could see by the amount of snow that a lot of that was brand new ice.
I also included a road pic and a sunset pic in the gallery. The side roads are holding snow and ice where the sun can’t hit them. Where the sun hits it is bare.
We have an interesting forecast ahead. We could see a little snow tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night. It will be warming up behind the snow, so the NWS put it out there that it could turn into freezing drizzle from 9-12 Saturday night. The TV says overall 1.5-2.5″ total. The bad news is that we will return to mid and upper 40s next week, so this is just a tease.
Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting! RJB
