Greetings and welcome!
We have a sunny 30 degree morning this morning. The day is headed for sun and a high of about 42. We are expecting some fog overnight, followed by another sunny 42 degree day. Sunday it is supposed to only get up to 32 as colder air moves in.
The real action starts Sunday night. Sometime in the overnight hours the snow will move in. The NWS is saying heavy at times. The snow is expected to continue into Monday afternoon. The NWS is putting some light rain and warm temperatures behind the snow Monday afternoon. They are not quantifying snow totals yet.
The TV weather channel 2-2 out of Green Bay is showing that all three models are in good agreement for 5-6″ for our area. That is on board with what I am seeing.
I am not sure about the 38 degree day or rain behind the snow in the NWS forecast. My guidance is not showing that, but I can’t rule it out. If it comes and stays light that wouldn’t be all bad. It would make the snow pack down a lot better when the clubs pan the trails.
There is a cool down and some light snow for midweek, and our storm for Saturday the 12th is still there. The Saturday/12th storm looks a little weaker than it was yesterday, but its projected path would be all snow.
Other than a couple of warm days today and tomorrow, our forecast is looking good. Where is that Buy It Now button so that I can lock it in?
Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting!

If we get enough snow they would open system-wide. Areas east and south of Silver Cliff are pretty much starting from nothing so they will take more snow. North and west there is an ice base and even a couple of inches would go a long way.
What does this mean for trail opening? Any possibility?
