Greetings and welcome!
The friends that I talked to Saturday night were having fun riding. There is still some early season stuff where there isn’t enough snow to fill in bumps, but there was a lot of good trail too.
Saturday night in the way home from work I saw trails along the road in Crooked Lake and along Parkway Rd from W to Hwy C. All looked flat with full coverage. I wouldn’t hesitate to ride any of it.
There is a new trail stop opening up in Crooked Lake called Trailside. It is formerly DJ’s Rockytop or Diamond Dave’s. They seem like very nice people and they should do very well there. They open Thursday.
The weather outlook is a mixed bag. There is no big snow in the forecast for at least a week, but we will stay cold enough to keep what we have. Monday and Tuesday could get into the mid-30s, then we are expecting mid-20s for high temps for the rest if the week. The weekend looks cold with highs in the mid-teens and single digit lows. It would be nice if that cold came with a Thursday or Friday clipper system and a couple of inches of fresh snow for the weekend.
I am in the middle of a big project at work so I have been a little distracted. That is why I wasn’t at Rapids this weekend. I will wrap that up mid-week and hopefully will be able to spend a little more time on this- and my snowmobile. I am also planning on being at Rapids next weekend to meet you guys and get pictures.
Here are some of the friends that I saw there after work Saturday night..
Thanks you guys and good to see you!
That is it for me today. Have a good week and thank you for visiting!
