Greetings and welcome!
The latest model runs have shifted the low pressure area’s path about a state east. Instead of passing over the northwestern 1/3 of WI as shown yesterday, it is now expected to pass over about Green bay or Escanaba.
That is still a little farther north and west than is ideal, but it is closer. Right now they are talking about 1-2 tonight and maybe 3-5 total.
Right now it looks like we will be on the wrong side of the rain/snow line for at least part of the storm, and that should hold totals down. I am still looking for 3″ or less, but acknowledge the possibility of a little more.
There is snow on radar as I type this at 8:30pm, but it is just the leading edge. So far it is mostly on the radar, there wasn’t much going on when I poked my head out of the door a few minutes ago.
I heard some reports of as much as 4-5″ of ice on some of the lake bays, and some people starting to cautiously walk out. I also heard about a truck that went in. Do be careful out there, it is very early in the season for lake ice.
Well I am off to bring in a cart of wood and cover the wood piles before the precip comes, and get a couple of hours in out in the blue room. I am about two weeks behind where I need to be getting sleds ready, so it is hammer time.
Have a good Tuesday and thank you for visiting!
