Greetings and welcome!
The snow on Saturday didn’t add up to much over the course of the day. It was light and maybe made 1/4 to 1/2″.  Saturday night it picked up and there was 1-1.5″ of puffy snow on the car by 11pm.

It wasn’t big snow, but it all counts. Right now we only have the small 1-3″ storms to look forward to for the next few weeks. The 16 day GFS is mostly showing more of the same through its duration. The storm for tomorrow and the 20th are expected to be sub-3″ snows, and for now the same goes the one for the 24th.

Right now I’d call our snow cover 4-6 sturdy inches of snow on top of an ice layer. That ice layer will really help road trails. I don’t know yet how the off-road trails will groom up.

When I did my fuel run to Lakewood Saturday afternoon the trails that way had not been groomed or ridden yet.  Saturday night I saw one of the gates on Iron Snowshoe had opened, so that process has started.

Iron Snowshoe and Paul Bunyan (Lakewood) open today. The Dun-Good Trails are already open, and Forest Co opens Friday.

Have a good Monday and thank you for visiting!
