6:30pm-
I’m back at home now after a fun day at Rapids Resort meeting snowmobilers and bartending. Thank you very much to everyone, you made it a great day.
I am going to be back at Rapids tomorrow at noon bartending, taking pictures of groups of riders, and updating from there.
There is a good chance that I will be back there later tonight after some dinner and a snooze. I am very appreciative of Kevin’s trail updates in the comments section and want to make a point of meeting up with him and the group.
I had to size down the pictures that I took today, or at least the way that they display. You can still click the picture and get the bigger version.
Some riders that were in right before I left warned of a trail hazard on the pipeline trail between Silver Cliff and Crooked Lake. Apparently right before a bridge there is a big pit on one side. Be careful there, a quick pass in the wrong spot could bring disaster.
Thank you to everyone that visited today!
3pm-
It has been a good day around Rapids Resort. A steady stream of snowmobilers have been passing through. It has been fun meeting old friends and new ones. I got a break in the action and it is time to upload a few riders pictures.
Thank you all for visiting, you have made it a very fun day!
3am-
Thank you guys for weighing in with trail conditions in the comments. I think that is great. That really helps a lot of riders. Hopefully more people will jump in and keep the near real time updates coming.
The ride home from work @ the Curve Inn tonight found about a half inch of new snow. It has been snowing lightly since yesterday afternoon and it is starting to add up. It isn’t a lot, but it is enough that it will help, and it is good squeaky snow. It is still snowing.
I saw that trails along Landing 11, Caldron Falls Rd, and Landing 11 Road have been established. In most places it offers an alternative to the somewhat scrapey roads.
I will be bartending at Rapids Resort today from noon until 3 or 4, and maybe hanging out later at night. Stop in and I’ll get a picture of your group to put on the web. I am always happy to go out and snap a photo and meet people. I’ll have the laptop there and will try to upload them ASAP between customers.
Keep those hot off of the trail reports coming in.. Guys like Kevin and Bear Fan really help a lot of riders. Thanks you guys!!
I am off to sleep, tomorrow-day looks like a fun one. Have a good Saturday and thank you for visiting!
