Greetings and welcome!

The snow last night actually came, but it wasn’t much. The morning found about 1/2-3/4″ down around here.

The data that I checked at noon suggests that we should temper our expectations a little. It is easy to get excited about the first storm, and I am on board with that, but as Slug said, relax.

The NAM and GFS have different ideas on how it will unfold. The GFS has the storm kind of falling apart as it passes over us, the North American sort of holds it together and shows a little more snow. That one has us in the 1-3 band for four different 3 hour frames, or 4-12.. The GFS has us in the 1-3 band for three and almost a fourth frame. Call it 3-9 or 4-12.

The HPC QPF has us in the 3-6 range and that seems pretty reasonable right now. The NWS is predicting 2-4 Sunday with a little more possible Sunday night.

There is a chance that we could see a little more. The guess right now is that it will be a nice start but it won’t be an all in one storm with 9+. At least we are in the game.

Have a good weekend and thank you for visiting!
