Greetings and welcome!
I am up early for work this morning, but my drive in has been cancelled for at least a few hours. When I went out to the car this morning there was a nice layer of ice on it from the freezing fog, and it was actively building. I can work from home for a while until the roads are not glazed with ice and maybe the fog clears a little.
Yesterday when I wrote my update we had some light snow happening. It was that happy winter wonderland snow and it looked like it would not accumulate. It must have picked up because later in the day we had accumulated about an inch of puffy snow.
That snow is getting sloppy now because of the fog and near freezing temperatures. I am not a fan of fog. Not only is it hard to drive in, it is a snow thief. The saturated air is very effective at transmitting heat and a warm foggy day can take down some snowpack in a hurry. Hopefully the sunrise will bring some relief.
There is not a lot of change in the weekend or long term weather outlook.
The wait for snow continues.
Have a good Thursday and thank you for visiting!
