Greetings and welcome!

It is another cold morning in Northern Wisconsin. We are looking for a high of about +5 today and a low of about -10 tonight. With the wind the wind chills will range from -10 to -30.

Tomorrow is the day that I have been waiting for, it was supposed to go into the mid-20s for highs and above zero for lows. Was. Now the forecast is a little colder, with upper teens for highs and +5 for a low. It is hard to believe that I am looking forward to that, but here we are.

The snow yesterday added up to about an inch. It blew around a little but nothing too serious. We are expecting another inch or so tomorrow and maybe a little light snow Friday night.

Not much has changed for the weekend forecast. We are looking at highs  in the +5-10 degree range both days, and the low Saturday night around -10. With a little wind we will again have wind chills in the -10 to -20 range.

Looking at the 16 day GFS I might as well get a rubber stamp made with the forecast on it, it looks like more of the same for the next couple of weeks.

The trails are in great shape and haven’t seen much traffic with the cold weather. The trails along the roads that I travel are groomed to perfection and flat as a board.

Travelers will want to be aware that the roads are getting a nice ice base to them, and you will want to be careful on county and side roads. I don’t know if the county has given up or if they just lost their salt shaker, but they are down to sprinkling a little sand on hills and corners and calling it a day. When I was on Highway X and on Highway C yesterday you could have ice skated down them. Take it slow.

Well the cold isn’t ideal, and the roads are a little icy, but the trails are about as nice as a guy could ask for. With February right around the corner it is time to bundle up and ride. Hopefully we will see a lot of riders take to the trails this weekend.

Have a good Thursday and thank you for visiting!
