Greetings and welcome!
I hope that everyone had a good holiday.
The forecast this morning does not look much different than last night. The models and forecasts have the area of low pressure tracking northeast over WI about where MN and IA meet the WI border. Ideally it would track northeast between about Sheboygan and Chicago.
The guess this morning is that we will get about 4″ overnight before it turns to rain Thursday. There is a chance of snow on the back of the storm, but usually hoping that the wraparound snow will accumulate in a meaningful way leads to disappointment.
So right now the storm looks like it will bring some snow but probably not enough for good or great snowmobile trails. If it is enough to start building a base I guess that is ok.
If nothing else we are set up for a pleasant surprise if the storm moves east 200 miles and goes our way. It isn’t in the forecast right now, but a guy can hope.
Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!

I agree. I only recall a couple that brought 2-4. Otherwise usually it is like you said.
