Greetings and welcome!
Prospects for the weekend are fading fast. Yesterday hit 40 and today we are at 37 and the sun is coming out.
The bad part is that it never got below freezing last night. That hurts. If the trails and snow have a chance to freeze back up they harden a little and can take a little warm weather. When the melting doesn’t stop things go less favorably.
When I went to the gas station a little while ago the trails along the road were getting that dirty March look to them that comes with the melting. The snow itself is very soft and shrinking on places like the picnic table.
Looking ahead at the forecast I don’t see it getting much better. There are a few snow showers possible for tonight and tomorrow morning, but the little system is very moisture starved and does not hold much for prospects beyond a dusting.
The remainder of the week could look better too. The NWS has tomorrow going 38-41, and Friday in the upper 30s. Saturday and Sunday are expected to have similar temps along with some sun.
As much as I try to see the glass as half full, I am not seeing this ending well for the weekend riders in this area.
In the comment section Patti mentioned that the Dun-Good Riders are having a brat fry at the Hi-8 Saturday.
Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!
