Greetings and welcome!

Even though the snow did not get close to some of the predicted totals, it was a good snow for us. Around here in Silver Cliff I’d call it 4-5. Dan reported 6 in Chute pond (Thanks Dan!) and Wausaukee was about the same as here at home.

The snow was fairly heavy so it did a lot of good. It packed down nicely on untreated roads, something that we haven’t had much of this year. The section of trail that I could see in the headlights on the way home was groomed and looking good. We are in for a couple of single digit nights this week, so the trails should set up nicely. I would not hesitate to ride right now.

I am expecting a busy weekend for snowmobiling. The weather looks pretty reasonable, and we finally have trails. It is good that such a large area of the state saw snow, it will help spread people out. Nonetheless, there are a lot of people like me that have the itch to saddle up and go riding in this area. I would expect a busy weekend.

There are some events this weekend too. Chris e-mailed me her event list today, and here it is. Thanks Chris!!
