Greetings and welcome!

We have some light snow this morning and a little under 1/2″ has accumulated so far. The forecast is for 1-2 today. Once the storm moves off to the east they are predicting some strong winds tonight that could gust to 30 or even 40mph. With single digit below zero temperatures, strong winds, and blowing snow, it probably won’t be a very pleasant night.

There is a brief warmup coming Friday in advance of the next clipper. We could actually break out of the single digits and get into the 20s Friday. There is another inch or two likely for Friday and Friday night.

Saturday looks like it will be windy and cold again with a high of around 10 and a low of about -10. Sunday they are predicting single digit highs. It looks like a cold weekend.

About at the turn of the month the GFS is showing the relentless polar weather backing off a little. In the meantime, bundle up.
