Greetings and welcome!
Things are looking a little bleak this morning. The weather forecast is pretty consistent between the three TV news stations that I saw this morning and the NWS forecast. They are all looking for the storm to be mostly rain and freezing rain with an inch or so on either side of it. The most optimistic outlook has far northern Marinette Co and points north and west seeing 2-4.
I am still not sold that the storm will be a bust, but I have to acknowledge the consistency of their outlook. They are pushing the bulk of the storm through the area during the day tomorrow, which would not go our way.
Iron Snowshoe closed their trails for the year yesterday as did Langlade Co. On the other end the Dungood club has some really nice trail pix from yesterday on the header of their web site this morning. Likewise, the trails that I saw along Perch Lake Rd heading west out of Wausaukee yesterday afternoon looked very rideable as well.
Right now I just don’t know. My optimism and wishful thinking might be getting the best of me, but I am still looking for 4+ inches of snow out of this storm. I guess that we won’t know until Friday morning.
Have a good Wednesday and thank you for visiting!
