Greetings and welcome!
My apologies for missing my updates the past few days. I was really really sick (still am). I had a really long intense day Saturday, which weakened my body enough that whatever little bug was going around just leveled me Sunday. I was healthy as a horse Saturday and really sick Sunday. The rigors of old age I guess..
The consensus last weekend was that it was about the last weekend for system-wide riding in this area. The bare stretches were starting to win, and the freeze-thaw-freeze thing had made some trails and corners icy. A lot of people found good trails north and west and in sheltered wooded areas, and that remains the recommendation
This morning we have some light snow falling. so far it is almost 1/2″. The NWS says that the 1/2″ is about all that we are expecting. There is another clipper storm coming for Thursday that could bring 1-3 or 2-4.
The downside of the forecast is that temperatures this week will be around 40, with Saturday’s high at 47 and Sunday’s high at 54.
Here are some people pictures from last weekend, and an event for this weekend.
Have a good Tuesday and thank you for visiting!

Ray,
I rode 300 miles on Saturday. The trails were awesome. The morning was about Zero degrees and the ice scratchers were out but by early afternoon it was fantastic. The south trail from Wausaukee to the Timberline was off the charts Fantastic. Also trail 5 to Florence and trail 6 to Tiper was Great. Its always nice to have your expectations exceeded.
